My boss just asked me to move her keyboard, so she could keep her mapping.

No let me sum up.

We use a terminal emulator to talk to the mainframe across town for all of our financials.

Part of my duties involve mapping the keyboard in the emulator, so the user ( with 15+ years of dumb terminal experience) knows what key to press. These mappings are of course stored in a file for the emulator software to read.

Somehow, she has the impression that the KEYBOARD has the mapping, and the identical keyboard at her new office doesn't have the correct mapping. .

I just don't get how some people think.
